American Century Investments is seeking a Software Developer Intern to gain hands-on experience across Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL, and cloud technologies. You’ll work with experienced developers on meaningful projects and learn modern software practices in a dynamic environment.

The program is for currently enrolled undergraduates graduating Dec 2027–Spring 2028. It is onsite at our Southlake/DFW, Texas and Kansas City, MO offices, with 40 hours/week for 10 weeks, and includes mentoring and

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Expected graduation between December 2027 and Spring 2028.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, Python and Java programming languages.
• Familiarity with SQL and cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain software applications (using Python, Java and JavaScript).
• Work with SQL databases or with APIs to design, implement, and optimize queries.
• Assist in the deployment and management of cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Have the opportunity to explore how AI can improve the software development lifecycle, drive innovation, and create business value while gaining hands-on experience working on impactful technology projects.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to the improvement of our development processes.
