Job summary

iCapital is seeking a Software Developer in Test (SDET) to join the Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate will contribute hands-on test automation, work closely with Development and Testing teams, and drive feature-based testing using modern frameworks.

Responsibilities include building robust automated test suites, integrating tests into CI/CD, maintaining tests, and applying metrics to improve automation coverage.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of QA engineering delivery experience.
• 4+ years of delivery within Agile SDLC teams ideally with CI/CD.
• Proficiency in Java with focus on BDD/TDD and design patterns, in CI/CD environments.
• Experience with Java microservices, REST APIs, and exposure to React front end.
• Knowledge of Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Proficient in CI/CD tools such as Maven, Sonar, Git, TeamCity/Jenkins, and Docker.
• AI integration experience is preferred.
• Experience in banking/finance environments is preferred.
• ETL testing experience is preferred.
• Hands-on testing with JUnit, RestAssured, Playwright, Protractor, and JMeter.

About the Role

iCapital is looking for a Software Developer in Test to join the Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate brings practical knowledge of agile development methodologies and engineering best practices. As a Software Developer in Test (SDET), this role will work closely with the Development and Testing team. This individual will serve as a hands-on test engineer with managerial experience, capable of understanding, enhancing, and implementing existing automation test frameworks. This role will also collaborate closely with other engineers and product managers to support feature-based testing.

• Proficient in CI/CD technologies such as Maven, Sonar, Git, TeamCity/Jenkins, and Docker
• AI Integration experience is preferred
• Exposure to banking or finance environments is preferred
• Prior experience testing ETL processes is preferred
• Hands‑on experience with testing tools including JUnit, RestAssured, Playwright, Protractor, and JMeter

• The base salary range for this role is $120,000 to $160,000.
