Redfin is hiring a full-stack engineer to join our Search Personalization team. You will build and own customer-facing features using React, Java, and AWS, leveraging AI code generation tools to accelerate delivery.

The role is hybrid with headquarter work in Seattle, requiring in-office presence on select days and remote on others. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to ship high-impact solutions that improve home discovery experiences.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional full-stack development experience.
• Experience with AI code generation tools such as GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude Code, or Cursor.
• Proven track record building scalable, high-performance web apps using React, Java, and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document software using AI code generation tools, and deliver end-to-end features.
• Stay up to date with the AI ecosystem and evaluate new tools, models, and frameworks.
• Build responsive, scalable web applications with React, Java, AWS, and related libraries.

The Search Personalization team is redefining how people connect with homes by creating a personalized and engaging search experience that helps millions of users find their dream home. We power some of Redfin's most visible features-including the Homepage, login and registration systems, and home discovery tools like Favorites and Saved Searches. • You will leverage AI code generation tools to document, architect, and create code.


• You will stay up to date with the rapidly evolving AI ecosystem and help evaluate new tools, models, and frameworks.


• You will develop responsive, resilient, scalable, and high-quality software using React, Java, AWS, and various other tools/libraries.


• You will balance the trade-offs between complex infrastructure investments and quick, pragmatic solutions to meet specific business needs.


• You will collaborate with other engineering and product stakeholders to define, design, and develop projects, taking full ownership for leading projects from start to finish.


• You will mentor and guide other junior engineers

About y ou

• 3+ years of professional full stack software development experience, developing full-stack, customer-facing applications.


• You have experience using AI code generation tools tools such as GitHub CoPilot, Anthropic Claude Code, Cursor, or similar.


• Proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable, high-performance web applications.


• You love elegant interfaces that can tell stories and inspire trust.


• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment, handle ambiguity, and empathize with customers.


• You're curious and a life-long learner: you're willing to take risks and champion new ideas.

On-Call Expectations

This role may include participation in an on-call rotation to support production systems and ensure service reliability. On-call responsibilities may include coverage during nights and weekends. If applicable, frequency and scheduling will be determined by team needs and communicated accordingly.
