Job summary

NISC in Fargo, ND, is seeking a Software Developer II for Financials on a full stack frontend team. You will design responsive web apps, build RESTful services, and collaborate across teams to deliver features for General Accounting, HR, Payroll, and related modules.

The role emphasizes agentic AI tooling, modern web tech, and cloud/microservices knowledge within a hybrid office setup, with a strong focus on code quality and testing.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Angular/TypeScript or GWT.
• Java or other OOP language proficiency.
• Experience with relational databases like Postgres or Oracle.
• Cloud and microservices stack including AWS, Kubernetes, Spring Boot, Kafka.
• Proficient in responsive web design and performance optimization.
• Familiar with modern software engineering practices and testing.

Responsibilities

• Design and build responsive web applications.
• Stand up RESTful web services.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features.
• Investigate and resolve customer issues and bugs.
• Write unit and integration tests as needed.
• Follow established software development methodologies.
• Prototype agent-based features to enhance UX and automate workflows.
• Other duties as assigned.
