Job summary

FlexTrade Systems, Inc. in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a talented software developer to work on the FlexONE OMS/EMS platform.

You will design and implement new features, improve performance, and support production as part of a fast-paced financial software team. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of professional software development experience, strong skills in Go or Scala, and a solid understanding of maintainable design, provable correctness, and SQL databases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field.
• At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced proficiency in one or more programming languages (Go, Scala).
• Understanding of maintainable design concepts and development practices focused on provable correctness.
• Excellent communication skills to articulate ideas, problems, and solutions.
• Experience with functional programming concepts (Scala is a plus).
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement new features on the product roadmap using technologies including Go, Spark, and data lakehouse services.
• Take initiative and gather requirements from Project Managers and other sources.
• Identify and implement performance enhancements in the core product.
• Implement bug fixes and assist with production support as needed.
• Collaborate with other team members to proactively solve problems.

FlexONE Team

We are looking for talented developers who are passionate about technology to work on FlexTrade’s OEMS platform, FlexONE, which is our state-of-the-art, fully integrated Order Management System (OMS) and Execution Management System (EMS). Our team is responsible for the development of the firm’s flagship, buy-side OMS.

Responsibilities:

You will work in a fast-paced, financial software development environment and be expected to:
