Location: Remote (U.S.-based)

Clearance Requirement: Active or Eligible DoD Secret Clearance
Client: U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)

About the Role

Agile Group is seeking a mission-driven Software Developer to support enterprise application sustainment and modernization efforts for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

This fully remote position focuses on maintaining and enhancing existing systems in support of USACE’s Civil Works programs, with emphasis on cloud-hosted platforms, legacy application support, and Tier II/III help desk functions.

You’ll work alongside a collaborative team to resolve technical issues, implement configuration changes, and support agile development cycles aligned with the government’s modernization objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and sustain Oracle APEX applications in support of Civil Works systems.
  • Support Tier II and Tier III help desk tickets, resolving system errors, bugs, and enhancement requests.
  • Collaborate with configuration and change control boards to implement approved system updates.
  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and story refinement cycles as part of an Agile team.
  • Conduct pre-production testing, document code changes, and maintain configuration traceability.
  • Contribute to data staging, ETL support, and system integration initiatives as needed.
  • Assist in ensuring continuity of operations (COOP) through planning and failover coordination.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of software development experience with Oracle APEX and PL/SQL.
  • Experience supporting government or enterprise IT systems.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and sprint-based delivery.
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active or clearable DoD Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with USACE systems or support for the Civil Works program.
  • Familiarity with Section 508 compliance, RMF documentation, and federal IT security standards.
  • Exposure to Oracle Autonomous DB, OCI, or federal cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
