Software Developer- Design Lead

Location: Remote

Clearance Requirement: Public Trust (ability to obtain via Minimum Background Investigation)

Position Summary:

Command Cyber Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Software Developer - Design Lead to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing data-driven applications for developers and technical staff in a data integration/syndication environment. You will collaborate with data scientists, developers, analysts, and system administrators to provide essential data management applications and services.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deploy new features.
• Clearly articulate design vision through mockups and verbal explanations.
• Work with all stakeholders across various disciplines.
• Analyze complex systems for improvements.
• Create user personas and design intuitive interfaces.
• Understand full SDLC and/or Agile development methodologies.

Education & Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field (relevant experience may substitute).
• Minimum of 5+ years of web development experience.

Clearance/Other Requirements:

• US Citizenship with a Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain one.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Angular, TypeScript, Bootstrap, JavaScript, ASP.NET, CSS, HTML, SQL, JSON, Git.
• Experience with design tools like Figma, Sketch, Balsamiq, Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of information architecture principles and business processes.
• Experience with usability research and user testing.
• Client interviewing and requirements gathering skills.
• Knowledge of and experience with test-driven development (TDD).
• Data visualization design skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design.

Working Conditions:

• Primarily remote with occasional travel.
• Hours are M-F, 0800-1630 ET, with potential for temporary adjustments.
• Duties may change based on customer needs.
