Job summary

CACI International Inc. seeks a Software Developer/Data Scientist Intern for Summer 2027. This on-site internship offers exposure to national security missions and multidisciplinary projects in Denver, CO (as well as Sarasota, FL and Sterling, VA).

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field.
• Basic understanding of User Interfaces (UIs), cross-browser compatibility, general web functions, and standards.
• Web Development Skills: Java, JavaScript, HTML, HTML5, CSS, Angular.
• Backend Development Skills: Python and Java.
• No clearance to begin; interns will be required to obtain TS/SCI clearance as a condition of continued employment.
• Some programming skills and experience.
• Basic knowledge of Docker Containers.
• Familiarity with Jenkins, GitLab, and CI/CD development philosophies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing software engineering and web development expertise for system operations and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with a team to develop and maintain a web-based thin-client software application.
• Contribute to development and maintenance of back-end services and processing.
• Participate in design and development of new capabilities and applications.
• Derive requirements through interactions with project management and systems engineering teams.
• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications under supervision.
• Adhere to software deployment best practices and configuration management workflows.
• Support integration testing efforts.
• Gain exposure to multidisciplinary solutions and products such as simulations, avionics, command and control systems, medical devices, sensors, and electro‑mechanical systems.

The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a talented Junior Software Developer and/or Data Scientist Intern to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will contribute meaningfully to national security missions by developing and delivering innovative, technology‑driven solutions. This internship provides an exceptional opportunity to learn, grow, and collaborate on multidisciplinary projects that integrate software with engineering and scientific domains.

Opportunities are available in Denver, CO; Sarasota, FL; and Sterling, VA. This position is fully on‑site.

• Backend Development Skills: General knowledge of Python and Java.
• No clearance requirement to begin employment. Interns will be required to obtain TS/SCI clearance as a condition of continued employment.

The Proposed Salary Range For This Position Is

$39,900-$79,900
