Job summary

CACI International seeks a Software Engineer – Early Career Cloud to join the Enterprise Cloud Solutions team, based in Hanover, MD or remote. You’ll contribute to cloud management and emulation, gain exposure to CSPs, infra, and automation, and collaborate across full-stack development to enhance user experience.

You will participate in agile practices, leverage Go/Python/Java/Node.js, and apply DevSecOps thinking to deliver scalable cloud solutions, with mentorship and ongoing learning to grow

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study.
• 1+ years of software engineering experience in Cloud environments or similar.
• Experience with Go, Python, Java, Node.js, or Bash.
• Experience with JSON or YAML.
• Experience in Windows and/or Linux development/automation.
• Willing to be on-site at a CAC I facility 2–3 days per week.
• Willing to work East Coast business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET).
• Willing to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance.

The Opportunity:

CACI is seeking a Software Engineer – Early Career Cloud for either our Hanover, MD location or remote. You will be part of a team of knowledgeable technologists responsible for building and maintaining our Cloud-focused products. You will be creating industry leading cloud management and emulation capabilities and are encouraged to leverage agentic AI to complete your tasks. This is a multi-faceted position that will give you an opportunity to gain experience in full stack development, Cloud Service Providers (CSP’s), infrastructure, and automation while helping build new functionality and continuously improve user experience. Working on the Enterprise Cloud Solutions team provides a great opportunity to leverage existing skillsets while developing new ones and receive mentorship in this field.

Responsibilities:

• Leverage your existing knowledge of languages, tools, frameworks, while actively learning new team technologies.




• Apply your architectural, design, and development skills to deliver cloud focused applications




• Participate in agile scrum standups and planning/review meetings; track and update progress within online ticketing system




• Manage your time and track progress through our ticket tracking system




• Provide documentation on your projects




• Perform incremental testing actions on code, processes, and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered




• Apply existing infrastructure, IT, or systems engineering experience to solve problems with tools and concepts unique to Cloud Service Provider environments




• Present your work and other knowledge to team members and leadership as needed




• Foster a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing within the team by systematically exchanging information, lessons learned, and recent developments.

Qualifications:

Required:

• BA or BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study




• 1 or more years of relevant professional/internship work experience in software engineering in Cloud environments or similarly relevant environment




• Experience with software development in Go, Python, Java, Node.js, or Bash




• Experience with structured and unstructured file formats such as JSON or YAML




• Experience performing development and automation in Windows and/or Linux environments




• Willing and able to be on site at a CACI facility 2-3 days per week




• Willing and able to work East Coast business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM ET window)




• Willing and able to obtain a DoD Top Secret Clearance

Desired:

• Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jira, GitLab, Argo, Jenkins)




• Experience with database technologies (e.g., RDBMS, NoSQL), data modelling, and SQL




• Experience with microservices, scalable architectures, containerization, cloud native solutions




• Experience with container orchestration environments (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift)




• Experience with User Interface technologies (e.g., React. Angular)




• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Cloud Formation, Terraform, CDK, Ansible, Puppet, Chef)




• Current and active Top Secret clearance

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$58,000-$115,900
