Job summary

London Computer Systems in Cincinnati is seeking a Software Developer Co-op/Intern to join our Development team. You will build, enhance, and troubleshoot software used by customers while gaining hands-on experience with professional development practices and technologies.

You may contribute to back-end with C#/.NET, front-end with TypeScript and Angular, and MySQL, spanning different parts of the application stack. Expect to learn the software development lifecycle and collaborative workflows.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a degree or educational program related to computer science, software development, IT, or a similar field.
• Foundational understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Experience writing software through coursework, personal projects, internships, or other hands-on development.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to tackle technical challenges.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and development practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to manage assignments and follow through on responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance features for LCS software applications under guidance from experienced developers.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
• Work on application functionality across back-end services, user interfaces, databases, or multiple layers.
• Participate in designing, developing, testing, debugging, and implementing software changes.
• Troubleshoot issues and help identify practical solutions.
• Collaborate with developers and other teams to build new functionality and improve existing applications.
• Participate in code reviews and other development practices.
• Learn how software moves from idea to release.
