Job Details:
This is a grant-funded position and reassignment will be based upon performance, progress toward research goals and continuation of funding. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis for any employer without sponsorship.
This Software Developer/Analyst will design, maintain, and improve secure, reliable, and user focused information systems that support research activities. This position serves as a critical bridge between technical infrastructure and research operations, ensuring that databases, web based applications, and reporting tools are efficient, accurate, and aligned with project and organizational needs.
At least 1 year of experience in systems analysis, design, and programming. Experience or working knowledge of PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor) based applications, Unix Web hosting paradigms and Unix command lines. Experience with JavaScripts: AngularJS, jQuery, Node.J, Bootstrap, HTML and CodeIgniter. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Values the contributions of others in the work environment. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.
Bachelor’s Degree in computer sciences or related field. Familiarity or experience with program platforms such as A11y, Dockers, RESTful APIs, SMTP, Object Oriented Programming, Tableau, and Python.
$70,000 - $75,000 - depending on qualifications
Employment Eligibility:
Regular staff who have been employed in their current position for the last six continuous months are eligible for openings being recruited for through University-Wide or Open Recruiting, to include both promotional opportunities and lateral transfers. Retirement Plan Eligibility:
The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
