Job Details:

Purpose

The Space and Geophysics Laboratory (SGL) delivers multi-platform software suites to government customers for multiple and varied applications, from real-time data-intensive network operations to standalone remote field systems, in both Linux and Windows environments. We are seeking a developer with a solid understanding of object-oriented design, databases, and data structures to join our team. As a member of the team you will be designing, implementing and maintaining software using C++.

Responsibilities
  • Provide detailed software design in a team environment

  • Perform implementation from detailed design

  • Perform unit, regression, and integration testing as appropriate

  • Create/maintain application documentation

  • Other related functions as assigned

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other applied science.

  • Three or more years of experience as a C++ developer in a Linux environment.

  • Experience with Python and the Numpy / Scipy stacks.

  • Thorough understanding of object-oriented programming concepts.

  • Ability to debug software at all stages of development life cycle.

  • Experience in Object-Oriented design and multi-threaded programming.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Physics

  • Eight or more years professional experience as a software developer

  • Experience with database application development

  • Eight or more years developing C++ applications

  • Demonstrated experience with object-oriented design and methodologies

  • Experience with cloud services (AWS)

  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0.

Salary Range

$104,000-$174,000+/negotiable depending on qualifications.
