To achieve that vision, the IRC’s Technical Excellence (TE) group, located within the Crisis Response, Recovery and Development (CRRD) Department, provides technical assistance to IRC’s country program staff and shares what we learn to influence policy and practice.
IRC’s Technical Excellence team is comprised of seven teams which have deep expertise in their respective fields: Education, Economic Wellbeing, Governance, Health, Violence Prevention and Response, MEAL, and Grants & Operations.
The METAL Unit is responsible for supporting CRRD to have a culture of strong data and evidence use through stewardship of the Data & Performance Ecosystem, and for coordinating successful piloting and uptake of innovative technology solutions. The METAL Unit provides specialized support across four pillars to strengthen program effectiveness, improve decision-making, and enhance organizational learning: Global MEAL Practice, Technology for Programs, Regional MEAL Support, and CRRD Data & Analytics.
The Software Developer will be part of the METAL team which is responsible for delivering products that support the collection, management and visualization of KPIs relevant to higher-level decision-making for CRRD Programs.
The Software Developer will build and support data tools that drive decision-making across IRC, working with platforms like PowerApps, Power BI, Databricks, and Azure SQL. They will be a skilled contributor to the CRRD Data & Analytics team with strong experience in Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate.
Specific tasks include data platform development, support, configuration, technical assistance and routing of technical issues, 2nd line help desk support, and participation in setting standards for processes, data quality, data security, and systems configuration.
The Software Developer will report to the Technology Development Lead. They will work closely with other developers, QA, Project Manager and the Program Data Systems Product Manager.
(US Pay Rate: $85,000 - $95,000/yr; UK Pay Rate: £46,780 - £55,552/yr). Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
