Physical Work Requirement

Contractor must be physically available to work at TDI headquarters in Austin, Texas, immediately upon contract execution. Contractor must be able to work a minimum of two (2) days a week physically onsite at TDI headquarters located at 333 Guadalupe Street, Austin, Texas, 78701. Contractor may be asked to work more than the minimum two (2) days a week onsite as the project progresses.

Summary of Duties

Develop software application solutions, including enhancements and ground‑up initiatives. Elicit requirements from end users, form epics and user stories, translate into functional tasks for technical staff, and follow requirements end‑to‑end to ensure proper delivery. Test applications to ensure user requirements are met. Use Microsoft Teams or other collaboration tools to communicate within a team. Work on an agile scrum team as a software developer, estimate work and size tasks for sprint development.

Qualifications

• 8 years required experience working as a software developer on software application development projects.
• 8 years required experience eliciting requirements from end users, forming epics and user stories, and translating them into functional tasks.
• 8 years required experience following requirements end‑to‑end to guarantee proper delivery of requested functionality.
• 8 years required experience testing applications to ensure user requirements are met.
• 2 years required experience using Microsoft Teams or other collaboration tools to communicate and work within a team.
• 2 years required experience working on an agile scrum team as a software developer.
• 2 years required experience estimating work and sizing tasks for sprint development.
• 4 years preferred experience writing technical documentation.
• 4 years preferred experience working as a software developer with Texas Department of Insurance applications.
• 1 year preferred experience writing technical documentation (if applicable).
