Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Software Developer to work for our company.
Summary:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Will design, develop, and implement advanced software solutions that align with business objectives and security best practices.
- Will apply DevSecOps methodologies to integrate security at every stage of the software development lifecycle.
- Will develop and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Will collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and engineers.
- Will mentor junior engineers.
- Must stay up to date with emerging industry trends, tools, and technologies.
- Will ensure compliance with relevant regulations and cybersecurity standards.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Must have a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years of experience in software development and engineering roles.
- Must be proficient in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, and JavaScript.
- Must have experience with DevSecOps tools and practices (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible).
- Must have strong knowledge of cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Must be familiar with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Must have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
- Must have excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to details.
- Must have the ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Must be able to obtain an AWS or Azure Professional Certification within 6 months.
- Some travel may be required (10%-25%) if located outside of the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia/Maryland area.
Preferences:
- A master's degree in engineering, computer science, or related fields is preferred.
- Previous experience in the federal contracting space.
- Previous experience writing white papers or other technical writing experience.
- An AWS or Azure Professional Certification.
- An active secret clearance.
- Located within the Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland area.
