Job summary

Crossway is seeking a Software Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications in collaboration with the IT team. The role involves writing, testing, and debugging code, and supporting end users with technical needs.

Ideal candidates will be proficient in multiple languages and comfortable with UNIX or LINUX environments. This is an on-site position reporting to the VP of Information Technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.
• Proficiency in at least one: Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Perl.
• Experience in front-end or back-end development for UNIX or LINUX environments.
• Familiarity with SQL for data manipulation and retrieval.
• Knowledge of database management and security practices (preferred).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.

Job Overview:

The Software Developer will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of software applications in collaboration with the IT team. This role involves writing, testing, and debugging code, as well as supporting end users with technical needs. Ideal candidates will have experience with multiple programming languages and a strong foundation in front-end or back-end development for UNIX or LINUX environments.

This role reports directly to the VP of Information Technology. Regular responsibilities include contributing ideas and strategies, reviewing plans and progress, evaluating results, and addressing management priorities. THIS IS A ON-SITE POSITION.
