Quantum Sky is hiring a Software Developer to support a law enforcement customer in Quantico, VA. The role focuses on building and maintaining software with deep knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel, handling large data, and scripting.

The candidate will translate detailed designs into functional software and optimize database queries to improve efficiency. Responsibilities include testing, documenting, directing junior programmers, and converting legacy media for the digital telephony

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field is required.
• 4–8+ years of technical experience as an applications programmer on computer and database systems.
• 5+ years of experience with C#, .Net, Blazor; Windows 10+; Visual Studio 2019+, ASCII interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Translate detailed design into software.
• Test, debug, and refine software to deliver enhancements.
• Prepare program- and user-level documentation.
• Optimize queries for performance and efficiency.
• Provide technical direction to programmers to meet deadlines.
• Convert legacy media to digitized formats for upload.
• Work with SAML/OAUTH authentication models across IDP providers.
• Develop front-end with JavaScript (Node, Sencha, jQuery).
• Integrate front-end with MySQL (stored procedures, triggers, CRUD).
• Engage in full-stack development and deploy Docker containers.

Quantum Sky is searching for a Software Developerto support our law enforcement customer in Quantico, VA. The Software Developer must possess an in-depth working knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel, formatting and processing large data files, and using various types of scripts. Requires high degree of competence in analyzing functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities.

Responsibilities:

• Translates detailed design into computer software.


• Tests, debugs, and refines the computer software to generate the required software enhancements and system components.


• Prepares both program-level and user-level documentation.


• Enhances software and database queries to reduce operating time or improve efficiency.


• May provide technical direction to programmers to ensure program deadlines are met.


• Converts legacy media into digitized formats to enable upload onto digital telephony collection system.


• Familiar with SAML/OAUTH authentication models utilizing various IDP providers (i.e., ADFS, SAML aware applications)


• Proficient with JavaScript (i.e., Node, Sencha, jQuery).


• Familiar integrating front-end applications with MySQL (i.e., stored procedures, triggers, CRUD).


• Full-stack development capabilities.


• Develop and deploy docker containers.

Qualifications

Required:

• B.S. degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.



• Must have four to eight years or more of technical experience as an applications programmer on computer and database management systems.


• Specifically, must have five or more years of experience with high level programming languages (C#, .Net and Blazor preferred), Windows based OS (Windows 10 and higher is preferred), Microsoft Visual Studio (2019 version or higher), and ASCII interfaces.


• Requires knowledge and experience with: media file types including WAV, MP3 and MP4; XML, JSON, and BSON documents; and, NoSQL and Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS).

Clearance:

• TS/SCI Clearance Required

Compensation:

• Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $160,000-$175,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
