Job summary

Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A. is seeking an experienced Software Developer to join our Lincoln, Nebraska team. This role focuses on full-stack development using the Microsoft stack to deliver data-driven web and desktop applications for enterprise use.

Responsibilities include designing and modifying enterprise applications, planning new systems, and improving existing resources. A CS-related Associate degree and strong C#/ASP.NET skills are required, with a willingness to learn

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent required.
  • Experience developing dynamic, data-driven web and desktop apps with Microsoft technologies.
  • Proficiency in C#, .NET 4.0, ASP.NET; SQL; CSS4; HTML5; VB; .NET Core; Java.
  • Willingness to learn our Lansa-based iSeries hosted ERP system.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize Microsoft stack to build dynamic, data-driven web and desktop applications.
  • Design or modify enterprise applications to meet organizational needs.
  • Plan and design new enterprise applications or adapt existing resources for additional operations.
  • Analyze user requirements and automate processing or improve enterprise systems.
  • Collaborate with units to analyze procedures and input/output data requirements.
  • Write detailed descriptions of user needs and program functions for development.
  • Review capabilities and constraints to determine feasibility of changes.

Kawasaki Motors Manufacturing Corp., U.S.A seeks an experienced Software Developer that would thrive in full stack software development to join our growing team. Responsibilities can include utilizing the latest technologies in the Microsoft stack to build dynamic, data-driven web applications and desktop applications as well as plan and design new enterprise applications or devise ways to apply existing application resources to additional operations. This position is not remote and is located at our Consumer Products manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE.

Responsibilities of Software Developer can include:
  • Utilize the latest technologies in the Microsoft stack to build dynamic, data-driven web applications and desktop applications
  • Design or modification of enterprise applications through software development to meet the needs of the organization
  • Plan and design new enterprise applications or devise ways to apply existing application resources to additional operations
  • Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to improve existing enterprise system applications
  • Confers with personnel of organizational units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and learn specific input and output requirements, such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized, and formats for reports
  • Write detailed description of user needs, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify enterprise applications
  • Review enterprise application capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
Required Qualifications for Software Developer:
  • Associate’s degree in the Computer Science field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Programming experience developing dynamic, data-driven web applications and/or desktop applications with Microsoft technologies
  • Experience with C#; .NET 4.0, ASP.NET; SQL; CSS4; HTML5: VB; .NET Core; JAVA.
  • Knowledge in or willingness to learn and/or understand our Lansa based iSeries hosted ERP system
Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Preferred for Software Developer:
  • Web/API development in the .NET Framework (C#, VB, .NET Core)
  • Strong relational database knowledge
  • SQL Server (Scripting, Indices, Views, Stored Procedures).
  • Ability to perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and business functions
  • Strong analytical skills to determine effective approaches to business solutions
  • Understanding of best practices and methods to integrate applications within the organization and with external partners
  • Strong knowledge of the full software development life cycle, with exposure to agile or iterative approaches to delivery preferred
