Qualifications

- Extensive CI/CD experience using platforms such as GitLab.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, up to Top-Secret.

Position Summary
We are seeking a Software Developer to join our team in Huntsville, AL, contributing to multiple software, artificial intelligence enabled programs in support of test, missile defense, and space systems. In this pivotal role, you will apply expertise in Software Development and Software Architecture to develop, deploy, and maintain advanced tools that drive automation, data analysis, and operational efficiency for our Internal and Government customers.
This role requires hands-on code design, code development, system design, testing and the use of modern DevSecOps, containerization, and CI/CD practices to ensure robust, scalable, and secure deployments.
The ideal candidate thrives on learning new technologies, solving complex problems, and building secure, reusable, scalable software and coding procedures that advance national security missions. You’ll work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the full lifecycle of software development, from concept and architecture to deployment and sustainment, across multiple software development and AI/ML programs.
What You’ll Do
- Design, Develop, and Deploy Software: Architect, code, and maintain scalable applications and backend APIs using Python, Java, Docker, or related technologies, integrating AI/ML capabilities to enhance automation and decision support.
- Support AI/ML Programs: Develop, implement, and optimize ML algorithms and software components using frameworks such as LangChain, and PyTorch, leveraging tools like Milvus, Chroma, for vector-based search and data management.
- Containerization and Deployment: Design, build, and package software for deployment using Docker and Kubernetes, ensuring efficient, portable, and secure execution across environments.
- Implement CI/CD and DevOps Practices: Develop automated pipelines using GitLab or equivalent platforms for continuous integration, testing, and deployment, ensuring reliability and repeatability in software releases.
- Maintain Software Quality and Security: Apply best practices in version control, code review, documentation, and secure coding, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity standards and government requirements.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Engage with engineers, data scientists, and system integrators to define technical solutions, share insights, and support multiple software and AI/ML initiatives.
- Innovate and Evolve: Explore and evaluate emerging technologies to continuously improve performance, scalability, and user functionality across deployed systems.
- Travel Requirements: Engage in minimum travel for customer and event support as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Must have a bachelor's degree.
- Experience: Must have at least 4 years of software development experience.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrable skills in coding, data management, and software workflows. Must possess a strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software deployment infrastructure.
- Programming Experience: Extensive experience with Docker, version control, and backend APIs.
- Experience with CI/CD: Extensive experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices using platforms such as GitLab.
- Communication Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities are required to effectively discuss technical concepts with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
- Learning and Adaptability: A strong desire to learn, experiment with new technologies, and continuously stretch existing skills.
- Security Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, with the eligibility to obtain a Top-Secret clearance.
Desired Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Master’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Knowledge: AI/ML research/development.
- Experience with Deployment: Experience designing, building, and packaging software products for deployment using Kubernetes or other containerized solutions
- Security Clearance: Current Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
