Job summary

Trideum Corporation in Huntsville, AL seeks a Junior Software Developer to contribute to front-end and back-end development for defense-focused projects. You will work on-site at our Huntsville office (or Redstone Arsenal as needed) under mentorship from senior engineers, tackling complex, mission-critical software in a collaborative team.

The role offers rapid growth through hands-on learning, code reviews, and exposure to MOSA-aligned architectures and secure software practices, with emphasis

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• Foundational MOSA principles and modular/component-based architectures.
• Experience with modern front ends and integration with backend services.
• Proficiency with front-end frameworks: Angular, React, or Vue.js; JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience building back-end services using Java, .NET, C, C++, Python or similar.
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Understanding of security, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.
• US citizenship with ability to obtain a US Government Secret clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior developers in building scalable, modular software systems.
• Design intuitive front-end interfaces and HMIs.
• Develop secure backend services and APIs to support front-end functionality.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, UX designers, and other developers across the stack.
• Participate in architecture design, code reviews, sprint planning, and CI/CD.

Position Summary

We are seeking a Junior Software Developer with expertise in both front end and back end development for a high visibility effort in next generation technologies in the Space and Missile Defense domain We are seeking candidates who are passionate about creating the next generation of products and services This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys participating in solving complex technical challenges while creating user centered mission focused software This role includes mentorship from senior engineers and opportunities for rapid skill growth The selected candidate will work on site at our office in Huntsville Alabama or at Redstone Arsenal as necessary The person in this role will require creativity and flexibility of patterns while abiding by industry and Department of Defense DoD software development policies and regulations under the guidance of seasoned software developers and engineers In this role you must be able to work collaboratively to meet team goals conceptualize solutions assist in determining the feasibility of design and know how to apply new technologies to allow for improvement to existing or development of new critical software applications within our client organization

What Youll Do

Assist senior developers in developing and maintaining scalable modular software systems using MOSA aligned Modular Open Systems Approach architectureSupport the Team Lead in designing and implementing intuitive front end user interfaces and Human Machine Interfaces HMIParticipate in building secure and efficient back end services and APIs to support front end functionalityWork collaboratively with systems engineers UX designers and other developers across the stackParticipate in architecture design code reviews sprint planning and continuous integrationEnsure applications are robust maintainable and aligned with performance and security requirementsContribute to user centered design processes and promote best practices in software developmentTravel Occasional travel may be required for team collaboration customer engagement or system integration events

Requirements and Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related technical fieldFoundational understanding of MOSA principles and modular or component based architecturesExperience developing modern front ends and integrating with complex back end servicesProficient with front end frameworks such as Angular React or VuejsStrong skills in JavaScriptTypeScript HTML and CSSExperience building back end services using Java DotNet C C Python or similar languagesFamiliarity with RESTful APIs micro services architecture and container technologies eg Docker KubernetesUnderstanding of software security principles CICD pipelines and automated testingExcellent problem solving communication and team collaboration skillsUS citizenship with the ability to obtain a US Government Secret security clearance
