Software Database Engineer (Contract)

Summary

Join Turn 10 Studios' Data Pipeline team as a Data Engineer to work on cutting-edge technology like Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure Data Explorer. You will be responsible for developing ETL processes in Databricks and Data Factory, constructing advanced pipelines, and creating data models crucial for studio decision-making. This role involves working on large-scale analytics systems processing real-time data feeds and batch processes, collaborating with various teams to enhance data capture methodologies and foster a culture of data-driven development.

Job Responsibilities

• Build and maintain ETL processes using Azure Data Factory for efficient data movement.
• Design scalable data pipelines utilizing technologies such as Spark, Data Lake, and Parquet.
• Develop cloud-hosted data systems with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to shape data capture strategies that enhance development methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
• Certification in Azure technologies is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL with at least 5 years of experience.
• Strong background in designing and implementing scalable ETL processes.
• Experience in Big Data Analytics using technologies like Spark, Data Lake, and Parquet.
• Familiarity with building cloud-hosted data systems, preferably in Azure.

Additional Details

• Location: Remote
• Duration: 13 Months
• Pay Range: $41 - 46.50 per hour
• Weekly Schedule: 40 hours
