Job Title: Software Asset & Data Analyst – Enterprise Systems

Location: Irvine, CA or Atlanta, GA

Blue Chip Talent seeks a highly analytical and detail-oriented Software Asset & Data Analyst to enhance our digital infrastructure and technology cost strategies. The role involves developing and maintaining an enterprise software inventory system—integrating financial, contractual, and usage data to support decisions across IT, Finance, Procurement, and other units.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about data, systems, and strategic frameworks that support organizational growth.

Core Responsibilities

1. Spearhead the creation and refinement of an enterprise-wide software asset repository, ensuring data integrity across financial, contractual, utilization, and ownership records.
2. Develop and implement processes for data normalization, de-duplication, classification, and governance.
3. Collaborate with technology, sourcing, finance, and risk teams to unify visibility into software assets, usage, and costs.
4. Reconcile and unify asset data across systems such as SaaS management tools, license trackers, general ledger, procurement platforms, and contract systems.
5. Establish data governance policies and ensure lifecycle traceability.
6. Provide executive-ready reports and insights to inform licensing strategies, renewals, compliance, and cost management.
7. Serve as a subject matter expert for software asset and lifecycle data, guiding policy and operational decisions.

Required Experience & Skills:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or related fields.
2. At least 7 years of experience in IT asset data management, operations, or enterprise systems.
3. Minimum of 5 years specifically in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or similar domains.
4. Experience with tools like Snow, Zylo, Flexera, ServiceNow SAM, OpenLM, or similar platforms.
5. Strong understanding of systems integration, data reconciliation, and reporting design.
6. Proven ability to create dashboards, reports, and automated processes that drive stakeholder action.
7. Excellent communication skills to present technical findings to business audiences.
