Job summary

Aptive Environmental, LLC is seeking a seasoned Software Architect to own the end-to-end architecture for the Aptive platforms, including customer, sales, field-service, billing and analytics. You will drive the phased migration from legacy FieldRoutes/PestRoutes to first-party Aspyn services, while establishing standards, APIs, data contracts and security guardrails.

You will partner with data engineering on Snowflake/dbt analytics and guide engineers with ADRs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in software/systems engineering.
• 3+ years in an architecture or staff-level role.
• Experience with distributed systems and API design.
• Cloud-native expertise with AWS and IaC.
• Migration experience from legacy systems to modern platforms.
• Familiarity with payments/CRM/telephony integrations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the target architecture across customer, sales, field-service, billing, and analytics domains.
• Lead the legacy migration off FieldRoutes/PestRoutes to Aspyn services.
• Set architectural principles, patterns, and guardrails for engineering teams.
• Design the data platform interface with data engineering for Snowflake/dbt analytics.
• Prototype reference implementations and ADRs to guide decisions.

We're hiring a Systems Architect to own the technical blueprint that ties Aptive's platforms together. You will define how services, data, and integrations fit into a coherent, scalable whole — setting architectural standards across the Aspyn platform (Customer, Sales, Field Service, and Platform teams) and guiding engineers through the migration from legacy systems (e.g., FieldRoutes/PestRoutes) to modern, well-bounded services.
