Job summary

Talentify is seeking an Expert Software Architect for a month contract with a 50% telecommuting and 50% office work model in a US-based location. The role focuses on designing and implementing software solutions and integrating current technologies to meet business needs.

The candidate will lead development teams on complex JEE-based systems, using JSF/JSP, XML, and WebSphere. Strong experience with JMS, EJB, MQ, and ORM tools such as Hibernate is required, along with solid database skills

Qualifications

• 84 months experience guiding iterative development teams on complex JEE based systems.
• 84 months experience with JDK 1.8+ using JSF/JSP on WebSphere AS 9.0+.
• 72 months experience with JMS, EJB, MQ 6.0+, XML, JAXB, and JAXWS.
• 72 months experience with JPA/Hibernate using Oracle or SQL Server databases.

Responsibilities

• Implement Integrated Justice Portal standards related to application technologies, including UI standards, development methodology, and coding/style guides.
• Serve as primary technical liaison with infrastructure teams to resolve problems and implement solutions affecting performance.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure to plan performance tests, failover, and deployment testing.
• Provide analysis, design, development, and code review of enterprise apps with Java/JEE, JSF, XML, XSLT, and IBM WebSphere.
• Oversee development activities including data analysis, structures, and database models.
• Prepare/review technical design docs and schemas as appropriate.

Project Description

This position will design and implement software solutions and current and new technologies are effectively integrated to fulfill the business needs.

Day-to-Day Tasks

1. 1. Implement Integrated Justice Portal standards related to application technologies, including UI standards, development methodology, and coding and style guides.
2. 2. Act as the primary technical liaison with technical infrastructure teams to resolve problems and implement solutions to technical issues impacting application performance.
3. 3. Work with the Infrastructure team to execute activities such as performance test planning and execution failure failover planning and execution, endurance testing and deployment planning and testing.
4. 4. Provide the analysis, design development, and code review of enterprise applications using JAVA/JEE, JSF, XML, XSLT and the IBM Portal/WebSphere Application development software.
5. 5. Perform oversight of development activities which may include data analysis, data access, data structures, data manipulation, preparing logical database models, testing and implementation.
6. 6. Prepare, and/or review technical documentation such as designs, schemas, etc., as appropriate.

Required Qualifications

• 84 months experience guiding iterative development teams which involve planning, designing, implementing and integrating complex JEE based systems involving data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• 84 months experience in developing applications that are implemented with JDK 1.8 or higher using JSF/JSP and deployed on Websphere Application Server version 9.0 or higher.
• 72 months experience in developing applications using JMS, EJB, MQ 6.0 or higher, XML, JAXB, and JAXWS.
• 72 months experience in developing applications using JPA and/or Hibernate using Oracle or SQL Server databases.
