Christy Sports in Breckenridge, CO, is seeking a Softgoods Supervisor to lead the softgoods team and manage department inventory. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will coach sales staff, ensure product knowledge, and deliver an outstanding mountain lifestyle shopping experience.

This full-time role requires a passion for skiing, strong customer service, and basic POS/inventory skills. You will drive sales, merchandise displays, and maintain safe, welcoming conditions for guests and staff.

Qualifications

• Be friendly, outgoing and comfortable engaging with customers.
• Love skiing or snowboarding and have basic knowledge of how gear works.
• Have basic computer skills for POS and inventory systems.
• Fluent English, written and verbal.
• Need to be flexible with schedule including split shifts, nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Summary Description: Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Softgoods sales staff and department inventory control.

Job Responsibilities:

• Greet all customers in the store
• Develop a rapport with the customers through conversation to understand their needs
• Build trust from the customer through product knowledge and the delivery of accurate information
• Bring the sale to a successful close
• Expand the sale by demonstrating knowledge of accessory and/or related products or warranty agreements as appropriate for the needs of the customer
• Operate the cash register to complete the sale
• Merchandise the store by stocking shelves, counters, or tables with products
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities :

• Be Friendly, outgoing and comfortable working with people
• Love to ski or snowboard and some knowledge of how it all works
• Have basic computer skills
• English fluency, written and verbal
• Need to be flexible in your schedule to get the most out of ski time, including working split shifts, nights, holidays and weekends
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and regularly lift 25 pounds

Budgeted range starts at: $22-$24/hour. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
