Job summary

Christy Sports is hiring a Rental Supervisor to manage the Ski/Snowboard Rental Department, supervise staff, and control inventory to maximize profitability while delivering best-in-class guest service. This role reports to the Store Manager and requires leadership in a fast-paced, outdoors-focused retail environment.

The position offers a commission structure and a free employee ski pass, along with the perks listed.

Qualifications

• Strong ski/snowboard background.
• Prior leadership experience in ski/snowboard rental operations.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Self-motivated with ability to multi-task.
• Experience with POS systems preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Flexible schedule including nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds regularly.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high guest service standards through leadership and personal behavior.
• Demonstrate product knowledge and industry trends.
• Ensure staff are trained with proper binding DIN settings.
• Ensure proper boot fitting knowledge among staff.
• Keep pricing accurate and current, including promotions.
• Maintain store cleanliness standards.
• Assist Store Manager with payroll budget monitoring.
• Assist in hiring, training, coaching, and leading staff.
• Administer company policies and procedures.
• Protect company assets via loss prevention techniques.
• Prepare and maintain required documentation.
• Open/close store as needed in manager's absence.
• Other duties as assigned.

Summary Description : Reporting to the Store Manager, this position is responsible for the management of the Ski / Snowboard Rental Department including staff supervision, training and inventory control to achieve the maximum profitability while providing the best-in-class guest service.

Job Responsibilities :

• Maintain the high-standard for guest service through personal behavior and leadership
• Demonstrate excellent knowledge of products and industry trends
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with proper binding DIN setting practices
• Ensure staff members are trained and knowledgeable with regard to proper boot fitting
• Ensure pricing is accurate and current, including any promotions
• Maintain store cleanliness standards
• Assist the store manager in monitoring and controlling the payroll budget
• Assist store manager in hiring, training, coaching, leading and maintaining a high-quality staff
• Assist store manager in administering company policies and procedures
• Protect company assets through loss prevention techniques
• Prepare, distribute and maintain company-required documentation
• Open and close store as required in absence of manager
• Other duties as may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities :
