Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks a lead Softgoods Engineer to design, develop, and ship textiles and soft polymers for premium products.

You will work closely with the Industrial Design team to create prototypes and translate concepts into scalable Softgoods architectures for Vision Pro and other devices. You will partner with engineers and scientists across Apple to integrate electrical and mechanical elements into soft products, delivering highly functional, breathtaking results.

Qualifications

• BS Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 3+ years of product design with extensive CAD experience.
• Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build prototypes in partnership with the Industrial Design team.
• Collaborate with engineers and scientists across Apple to create Softgoods for Vision Pro, AirPods Max, HomePods and other categories.
• Learn to integrate electrical and mechanical components into Softgoods for high functionality.
