The University of Pikeville seeks an entry-level Softball Operations Assistant to support the athletics program and softball department on a hands-on basis.

You will officiate Junior Varsity games, perform game-day field preparations, assist in data collection for player development, and help analyze opponent films and social media content. This role provides practical exposure to college athletics operations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of softball rules is required.
• Entry-level position for athletics support staff.
• Ability to operate basic computer tools for data collection and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Officiate Junior Varsity games.
• Field preparations for game days: line field, prepare field, set up scoreboard and sound system.
• Prepare for practices: set up bases and stations with equipment.
• Collect data during individual sessions to support player development (e.g., pitches tracked for pitchers, locations tracked for hitters).
• Assist in analyzing opponents' films.
• Assist in creating social media content.
