Job summary

BOGLE JUNIOR HIGH in Chandler, AZ is seeking a dedicated softball coach for the Chandler Unified School District. This supplemental role reports to the athletic director and follows the athletic calendar.

Immediate starting date with a stipend-based compensation structure for coaching and extracurricular activities. Minimum qualifications include a valid AZ driver's license, DPS IVP fingerprint clearance, CPR/First Aid/AED, NFHS course certificates, and other sport-specific certifications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications include required certifications and clearances as listed.
  • All NFHS course certificates referenced are mandated for coaching.
  • Clean background and safety clearances required by district policy.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and conduct practices that develop individual and team athletic skills.
  • Teach sport-specific fundamentals, strategies, and rules.
  • Promote student-athlete growth, sportsmanship, and positive character.
  • Supervise and manage student-athletes during practices, competitions, and team activities.
  • Prepare teams for competitions and coach during games with professionalism.
  • Prioritize athlete safety and follow all injury prevention and emergency protocols.
  • Establish and enforce team expectations aligned with school and district policies.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, administrators, and athletic staff.
  • Assist with program administration, including equipment, records, and required documentation.
  • Comply with all school, district, and athletic association rules and professional standards
