Job summary

Texas A&M International University is seeking an Assistant Coach (Softball) to support the head coach in all aspects of team administration, practice, conditioning, and academic progress monitoring. The role includes recruiting prospective student-athletes and ensuring NCAA compliance.

Responsibilities also include travel coordination, schedule planning, and maintaining recruiting databases and opponent files, with on-campus, evening, and weekend commitments required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
• One year of coaching experience at high school, college, or higher level.
• Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist head coach with routine administrative responsibilities of the sport program and team management.
• Coach and demonstrate sport techniques to student-athletes to maximize potential.
• Recruit and scout prospective student-athletes from high school and junior/community colleges.
• Ensure compliance with NCAA rules and maintain rosters and records using CAI and ARMS.
