Job summary

Qualifications

• Must hold valid Florida teaching or coaching certificate.
• FHSAA certification required.
• Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED as issued by recognized agencies.
• Valid Florida Driver’s License.
• Prior coaching experience.
• Combination of education, experience, and certifications may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions.
• Develop and implement game strategies and tactics.
• Teach fundamental skills, techniques, and sports rules to student-athletes.
• Supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and trips.
• Promote discipline, responsibility, and good sportsmanship among players.
• Ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations.
• Assist with maintenance of team equipment and uniforms.
• Assist with scheduling and facility use.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians.
• Provide mentorship and guidance on personal development and college opportunities.
• Enforce all school policies and codes of conduct.
