Job summary

Teragen Energy is seeking a hands-on Ceramic Engineer to join the cell and stack fabrication team. You will work on powder and ink formulation, forming, coating, and sintering to develop and scale single cells, seal, and interconnect materials.

You will collaborate across a small, fast-paced team to transition lab methods into robust manufacturing processes, with a focus on reliability, repeatability, and performance improvements for the next generation of solid oxide fuel cells.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in ceramic engineering or related field plus 2–6+ years of experience.
• Experience with ceramic processing techniques such as tape casting, screen printing, slurry formulation, sintering, or extrusion.
• A maker mindset; hands-on, self-motivated, and curious.
• Curiosity and initiative; identify problems and propose ideas.
• Strong experimental discipline and collaborative team focus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and drive fabrication of Teragen's advanced SOFC cells and stacks.
• Develop, test, and scale manufacturing processes to improve performance and yield.
• Collaborate with Materials Engineer on seal, interconnect, and interface materials.
• Build repeatable processes and document them for team-wide adoption.
• Transition fabrication from research methods to robust, scalable manufacturing.
