Position Overview

Check Defense is a fast-growing federal contractor seeking a highly capable SOF Communications Instructor who serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting Naval Special Warfare (NSW) training operations by delivering advanced communications and navigation instruction to Special Boat Teams (SBTs). This position provides expertise in current and emerging communications technologies, Blue Force Tracking systems, cryptographic management, and combat communications integration in support of NSW mission requirements.

The successful candidate will augment active-duty training cadre through curriculum development, classroom instruction, practical field exercises, and combat systems integration support. The instructor will also assist with training planning, logistics coordination, emerging technology integration, and operational training exercises to ensure students are prepared for real-world Special Operations missions.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide advanced communication instruction related to current and emerging communication and navigation technology.
• Assist with schedule development, curriculum management, and logistical planning.
• Provide instruction related to current/emerging Blue Force Trackers (BFT). Utilize crypto management and apply it to advanced communications technology.
• Assist with liaison support, as well as other Communication entities, to identify and integrate emerging communications technologies.
• Assist with managing curriculum and providing instruction for current and emerging communications and navigation technologies.

Required Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen.
• Active SECRET Security Clearance.

• Must possess a minimum of five years’ experience within the last ten years as a Special Warfare Combatant-craft Crewman (SWCC), with achievement of SWCC Senior qualification in accordance with COMNAVSPECWARGRUFOURINST 3120.3E. Applicant’s SWCC Senior qualification must not have been removed for administrative or disciplinary reasons.
• 5 years’ experience as NAVY/NSW Instructor. Instructors will support or augment active-duty training cadre with subject matter expertise, echelon IV level combat systems integration efforts, scheduling/planning, classroom instruction, practical field training, final training exercises, troop movements, consumable supply management and performance as opposing forces (OP4), as necessary
