Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group in Lakewood, NJ is seeking a passionate School Social Worker to support students' social-emotional well-being and academic success. This full-time, school-based role focuses on counseling, collaboration with families, teachers, and administrators, and crisis intervention when needed.

You will maintain documentation, participate in IEP meetings, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to help students overcome challenges and reach their full potential.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited Social Work program.
• Current NJ Social Worker license.
• NJ DOE certification.
• NJ CHR certification.
• School-based experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, support, and intervention services to students.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support students' social-emotional well-being and academic success.
• Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral planning, and community resource coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP and student support meetings as needed.
