Job summary

The Stepping Stones Group is seeking a dedicated School Social Worker for a full-time, school-based role in Mt. Morris, MI. You will provide counseling and support to students, collaborate with families and staff, and contribute to IEP meetings to support achievement and well-being.

Ideal candidates hold a graduate degree in Social Work with LMSW/LARA credentials, Michigan SSW credentials, and K-12 eligibility. Relocation assistance and ongoing professional development are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited Social Work program.
• LLMSW or LMSW through LARA.
• Must have PSSWC or PSWC Michigan SSW Credential through the Michigan Department of Education.
• Qualified to work within a K-12 setting.
• School-based experience preferred; Special Education understanding.

Responsibilities

• Provide counseling, support, and intervention services to students.
• Collaborate with families, teachers, administrators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support students' social-emotional well-being and academic success.
• Assist with crisis intervention, behavioral planning, and community resource coordination.
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in IEP and student support meetings as needed.
