Emerson Hospital is seeking a Bariatric Mental Health Provider to offer psychological consultation, support, counseling and intervention to bariatric patients and their significant others. You will evaluate psychological well-being and ensure patient safety under the Bariatric Coordinators supervision, aligned with the Psychology Department’s goals.
Qualifications include a Masters degree in a mental health field and licensure as LMHC, LCSW, or LICSW, with at least one year of experience.
Reporting to the Bariatric Coordinator and/or surgeons, the Bariatric Mental Health Provider provides psychological consultation, support, counseling and intervention to bariatric patients and their significant others through evaluation of psychological well-being, under the direction and supervision of the Bariatric Coordinator, and in accordance with the stated philosophy and objectives of the Psychology Department. The Mental Health Provider is accountable for the safety of the care they deliver.
