Job summary

Pro Social Partners are seeking permanent Social Workers/Seniors for the Family Safeguarding service in West Berkshire. The role offers a salary up to £41,418 with retention bonuses and a Golden Hello, and involves assessments, direct work with children, and multi-agency collaboration.

You will work within the Family Safeguarding Model, using strengths-based approaches and motivational interviewing to support families toward lasting change.

Qualifications

Social Worker – Safeguarding

Pro Social Partners are working with a client in West Berkshire who seeks permanent Social Workers/Seniors within the Family Safeguarding service paying up to £50,418 (including retention and Golden Hello).

About the Role

• Conduct assessments and formulate care plans.
• Undertake direct work with children and families.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to coordinate services.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
• Utilise the Family Safeguarding Model and work with specialist workers—Domestic Abuse Practitioners, Recovery Workers and Mental Health Practitioners—to offer group based interventions to families.
• Adopt a strengths based approach and apply motivational interviewing techniques to help families identify needed changes and support them to achieve these.
• Work directly with children to understand what is important to them.
• Take a holistic view of the individual across immediate and extended social circles, considering overall development needs.
• Access high quality reflective supervision within a multidisciplinary forum to strengthen information sharing and decision making.

Skills and Attributes

• A recognised Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England.
