Job summary

Saint Luke's Hospital is seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker to provide behavioral emergency level health assessments in collaboration with a medical team of physicians and registered nurses.

The role involves Thursday and Friday, 7am–7pm shifts, offering the opportunity to respond to emergent crises, participate in discharge planning, and educate patients and families within a busy ED setting.

Qualifications

Current Missouri LCSW, LMSW or LPC license.
1 year QMHP related experience.
Prefer 2 year QMHP experience.

Responsibilities

Assess behavioral health emergencies in the ED in collaboration with the medical team.
Collaborate on development of transition plans and address needs promptly.
Participate in program planning to meet community needs within the health care system.
Provide patient and family education and follow-up in the ED.

Highly trained behavioral health professional who demonstrates autonomy and critical thinking skills and consultation in handling emergent psychiatric crises.
Collaborates with members of health care team in development of a transition plan and addresses needs in a timely manner.
Participates in program planning and development to meet the needs of customers within the health care system and community.
Provides patient and family education. The QMHP / Social Work team in the ED are consulted on patients with a positive mental health history in order to provide needed mental and behavioral health services and follow up, in addition to the consults requesting assistance with the three social determinants of health identified by the ED triage process.
This Social Worker will answer consults on patients being evaluated in the Emergency Department .
