MSAD 6 is seeking a dynamic Part Time School Social Worker to join its instructional staff at the Bonny Eagle High School. Located in Standish, ME for the 2026-2027 school year to serve children in both general education and special education settings.

The successful candidate will promote and enhance the overall academic mission by providing services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology is required.
• Maine license with LCSW preferred (LCPC will be considered).
• Experience in social work/counseling and positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Desire to work with school-age youth.

The successful candidate will promote and enhance the overall academic mission by providing services that strengthen home/school/community partnerships and alleviate barriers to learning. The successful candidate will significantly contribute to the development of a healthy, safe, and caring environment by advancing the understanding of the emotional and social development of children and the influences of family, community, and cultural differences on student success and by implementing effective intervention strategies.

Applicants for this position must have a Master's Degree in Social Work or Psychology; State of Maine license, LCSW preferred (LCPC will be considered); valid Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check (CHRC); experience in the field of social work/counseling; demonstrated positive, professional relationships with students and colleagues; and evidence of a strong desire to work with school-age youth.
