Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, NJ seeks an experienced Medical Social Worker to conduct psycho-social assessments for newly diagnosed cancer patients and to develop individual social service plans for patients and their families.

You will respond to consults promptly and assist with non-medical aspects of care including transportation, financial and insurance navigation, disability, prescriptions, resources, referrals, and paperwork.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years full-time medical social work experience.
• Prefer oncology caseload.
• Experience facilitating support groups and program development.
• Knowledge of oncology referral services.

• Minimum 3 years full-time medical social work experience.
• Preferably with oncology caseload.
• Experience facilitating support groups and program development.
• Knowledge of oncology referral services.

Education Requirements

• Requires a Master Degree in Social Work (MSW) or comparable degree accepted for grandfather clause in NJ licensure legislation.

License/Certification Requirements

• Current NJ SW License – (NEW JERSEY SOCIAL WORKER), LSW.
