Job summary

Cooper University Health Care in Camden, New Jersey, is seeking a Social Worker (MSW) to join its Utilization Management team. This role provides psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and social work referrals to support discharge planning and patient adjustment.

Requires an MSW and NJ social work license; LCSW preferred. The position is PRN with a focus on collaboration across departments and Rutgers University School of Social Work field instruction.

Qualifications

• Provides psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, social work referrals, and short-term crisis counseling to foster discharge planning and adjustment to illness for patients and families.
• Functions as a member of the Utilization Management team.
• Responsible for MSW field instruction for Rutgers University School of Social Work.
• Provides supervision to BA/BSW staff; LCSWs provide clinical supervision to LSW staff, as assigned by the Director of Utilization Management.
