Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center in Corona, CA is seeking a Part-time Therapist (MA/MSW) for outpatient psych services during daytime hours. You will report to the Program Manager and provide psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic groups along with individual and family therapy to seriously mentally ill patients, aiming to maximize community function and reduce rehospitalization.

Requirements include a Master’s in Social Work or related field, current LCSW/AMFT/MFT, and BLS CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months clinical experience in mental health.
• Experience with geriatric and/or adult behavioral health patients.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training within 90 days from date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic groups and individual therapy.
• Offer family therapy to individuals and their families.
• Support symptom and medication management to help patients function in the community and avoid re-hospitalization.

Reporting to the Program Manager this position provides psychoeducational and psychotherapeutic groups and individual therapy and family therapy to individuals who are seriously mentally ill. Groups focus on symptom management and medication management, which assists patients at functioning at their highest potential within their community and avoiding re-hospitalization.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 99-bed rehabilitation campus. ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

Specific education and/or experience working with geriatric and/or adult behavioral health patients. Minimum of 12 months clinical experience in the field of Mental Health required.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

Master's degree in Social Work, psychology, counseling or a related field required Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

Current LCSW, AMFT, MFT license required.

Current BLS (CPR) Certificate from American Heart Associates required.
