Major Responsibilities:

• Candidate must have MSW experience in a hospital setting.
• Complete timely documentation to meet licensure and third-party payor requirements.
• Provide in-services to assigned units and attend educational seminars as appropriate.
• Contribute to continuous process improvement activities.

Licensure:

• Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

Education/Experience Required:

• MSW from an accredited school of Social Work with field experience in a hospital setting. Must recognize age-specific needs and behaviors. Adhere to NASW code of ethics and standards.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:

• Demonstrate competence in counseling and discharge planning.
• MSW (Licensed Social Worker Masters) from an accredited school of Social Work with field experience.

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

• If position involves direct patient care or contact, the following lifting requirement applies: ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For weights over 35 pounds or when the patient cannot assist, patient handling equipment should be used with at least one other staff member when available. Specific situations will be assessed case-by-case.
