Job summary

Tenet Healthcare's Oncology Social Work team is seeking a dedicated MSW to support patients and families facing cancer. You will assess biopsychosocial, spiritual, financial, and cultural needs, and collaborate with medical staff to plan comprehensive care.

The role includes developing and leading education classes and support groups, and coordinating patient and family education materials for patients, families, and staff across the cancer program.

Qualifications

• Master of Social Work degree or equivalent degree preferred.
• BLS certification preferred.
• Previous oncology experience preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in social agency or community organization dealing with health and disease issues.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates patients and families in biopsychosocial, spiritual, financial, developmental and cultural issues in face of cancer diagnosis and treatment.
