Job summary

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Social Worker for the Child Protection service to join our client based in Medway. You will manage a caseload within a framework of reflective supervision, using Signs of Safety for assessments and interventions with children and families.

You will work directly with children and young people to capture their lived experiences and wishes, developing SMART plans and reviews to ensure safeguarding and meaningful transitions into adulthood.

Qualifications

• Must hold a relevant Social Work qualification.
• ASYE completed.
• Full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes.
• Active Social Work England registration.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload within a framework of reflective supervision.
• Undertake focused, analytical assessments, SMART plans and reviews.
• Ensure services reflect safeguarding commitments and meaningful transition into young adulthood.
• Engage directly with children and young people to understand lived experiences and wishes.

About the role:

You will manage a caseload within a framework of appropriate reflective supervision, undertaking focused, analytical assessments, SMART plans and reviews, ensuring all vulnerable children and young people with disabilities receive a service that reflects the Council’s commitment to child and adult safeguarding and meaningful transition into young adulthood.

You will work directly with children and young people to establish their lived experiences and wishes and feelings, using a variety of techniques.

You will use the Signs of Safety practice model in assessments and interventions with children and their families.

What we are looking for in a Social Worker:

• Relevant Social Work qualification
• You will have completed your ASYE
• You will have a full driving licence and access to a vehicle for work purposes
• Active Social Work England registration
