The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a qualified Social Worker in Aurora, Colorado. This role entails working within the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program focused on mental health and crisis intervention. BASIC REQUIREMENTS
Experience, Education, and Licensure: None beyond the basic requirements. Demonstrate knowledge, skills, and abilities including counseling, psychosocial assessment, treatment implementation, communication, and medical knowledge.
Experience and Licensure: One year of post-MSW experience at GS-9 level and licensure or certification, or a doctoral degree in social work. Demonstrate knowledge of community resources, assessment, treatment modalities, and provide consultation services.
May qualify based on the Grandfathering Provision for current VHA employees.
Preferred Experience: Licensed at the advanced practice level; experience in crisis intervention or walk-in services.

The full performance level is GS-11, with a range of GS-09 to GS-11 for potential applicants.
Must be in good health, able to sit, walk, stand, and perform light to moderate physical activity. Must have close visual acuity for data analysis, reading, and computer work. May require travel to community agencies and partners.
