Northeast Delta Human Services Authority is seeking a Social Worker 4 to serve as the Intake Specialist at the Reaching Independence through Support and Education (R.I.S.E.) Treatment Center. The incumbent serves as both the primary intake clinician and treating therapist for a small caseload of clients with substance use and co-occurring behavioral health disorders. The role requires a strong addiction background, clinical licensure (or license eligibility), and the ability to balance admissions responsibilities with sustained therapeutic relationships. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting comprehensive intakes and assessments, determining the level of care, and providing ongoing psychotherapy and treatment planning.
Possession of a current Louisiana license to practice as a Licensed Master's Social Worker (LMSW) or a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) plus:
Appointment Type: Probationary, Promotional, Demotion, Lateral Transfer, or Detail to Special Duty
Location: Reaching Independence through Support and Education (R.I.S.E.)
NEDHSA is a designated, approved National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site. Clinicians who work at NHSC-approved sites are eligible to apply to the NHSC Loan Repayment Program to pay off student loans.
(Full-time clinical practice is defined as no less than 40 hours per week, for a minimum of 45 weeks per year.)
