Mercor is partnering with top-tier AI research labs to train models that better understand human conversations—especially those involving sensitive topics, emotional needs, and high-stakes situations. We're seeking social workers to help us design realistic training data that reflects real-world social services interactions and client communications.

What You’ll Do

• Use your real-world experience supporting clients, managing crises, and navigating social services to create realistic human interaction scenarios
• Write and refine prompts that reflect genuine conversations around mental health, family support, housing, abuse, addiction, and more
• Collaborate with AI researchers to improve how models understand tone, intent, empathy, and emotional complexity
• Ensure AI-generated content reflects ethical standards, trauma-informed practices, and cultural sensitivity

What We’re Looking For

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in social work or a related field (e.g., mental health, child welfare, crisis intervention, community outreach)
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Demonstrated empathy and emotional intelligence in high-pressure, client-facing situations
• Experience training, mentoring, or onboarding peers is a plus
• Comfortable working independently and providing structured feedback
