Job summary

Favorite Healthcare Staffing, Inc. seeks a Behavioral Health Consultant (Bilingual) for a permanent/direct hire role in Kansas City, KS. The BHC will work within a Primary Care team, conducting brief behavioral health assessments and developing short-term treatment plans.

The position supports patients across children, youth, and adults, addressing psychosocial needs, following referrals, and linking clients to appropriate community resources. The schedule is full-time, days, 8 AM–5 PM.

Qualifications

• Experience with adults with serious mental illness; community mental health experience preferred.
• Knowledge of DSM-5/ICD-10; mental health assessment.
• Ability to develop short-term treatment plans and connect clients to services.

Responsibilities

• Provide brief, targeted behavioral health assessments during office visits within primary care.
• Develop short-term treatment plans and follow up on referrals.
• Collaborate with the Primary Care Team to address psychosocial needs across ages.

Responsibilities

• As a Behavioral Health Consultant (BHC) you will be an integral member of the Primary Care Team, providing brief, targeted behavioral health assessments and interventions during office visits. The BHC addresses psychosocial needs, follows up on primary care referrals, develops short-term treatment plans, conducts brief psychosocial assessments for children, youth, and adults in primary care and connects clients with appropriate services.

Qualifications

• LCSW, LCP, PhD in Clinical Psychology preferred; LPC, LMSW, PLPC, or other Master’s-level behavioral health clinicians
• 1–3 years of experience working with adults with serious and persistent mental illness; community mental health experience preferred.
• Experience with trauma, homelessness, and/or substance use preferred.
• Knowledge of DSM-5/ICD-10, mental health assessment, and person-centered treatment planning.
• Knowledge of health, human services, and community resources- Preferred Licensed Clinical SW & or Licensed Masters SW
