Mott Community College is seeking a full-time Social Worker to enhance student success through structured social support programs and resource connections. The role reports to the Lead MSW and Executive Director, Student Academic Success, and involves coordinating interdisciplinary efforts on and off campus.
The Social Worker will implement case management, pursue outcomes-based procedures, and support Title IX initiatives while guiding interns and volunteers.

Position Summary Information
Position Summary
The work of the full time Social Worker will be directed by the Lead MSW but administratively supervised by the Executive Director, Student Academic Success, and works to improve student success through providing intentional and functional social support programming while helping to create a college culture of care. The Social Worker will provide a systematic response to student needs while connecting students with community and college based resources, implement case management and outcomes based processes and procedures, troubleshoot and advocate for student concerns, issues and problems, participate in College committees and initiatives that identify gaps, and improve college operations, keep abreast of new and emerging research that supports student success through social services programming, facilitate student emergency funding, guide social work graduate and undergraduate interns, work study students and volunteers, and perform other related duties as assigned.
The Social Worker will work with the Lead MSW to implement, coordinate and sustain on- and off-campus support systems, provide leadership within the Center that has a cross divisional approach to providing social support programming, and implement routine communication strategies that support high levels of Center functionality. The Social Worker will collaborate with LCFLC and other MCC staff on programming related to Title IX administration and closing the achievement gap initiatives for all students.
Additional Desirable Qualifications
1. Fully Licensed Master Social Worker ( LMSW ) or Licensed Professional Counselor ( LPC ) in Michigan.
2. Knowledge of local social well-being resources in Genesee, Lapeer, and Shiawassee counties.
3. Experience supervising employees, interns, and/or volunteers.
4. Experience teaching and/or delivering social services in a college environment.
5. Other experience working in higher education.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions
2. Work in an office environment will frequent standing and sitting.
Work Schedule
Full-time position (40 hours a week). As a full-time Social Worker, this position is in person. The employee must work the hours necessary to fulfill the functions and roles of this position and may be required to occasionally perform work during evenings and weekends.
